High Altitude Training
During this training, pilots are introduced to the affects of hypoxia (loss of oxygen to the brain) while flying a simulator in a hyperbaric chamber and receiving instructions from a simulated Air Traffic Controller. This course is run by Dr. Paul Buza, founder of the Southern AeroMedical Institute, board-certified neurologist and FAA Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).
