Already a pilot, seeking to expand your skills?

You are already a pilot, but need to gain further certification, knowledge and experience to propel your career to the next level. Delta Connection Academy Flight School offers a variety of courses for the experienced pilot.

Helicopter Transition to Fixed Wing

You have been flying military helicopters or are a FAA Commercial Helicopter Pilot and are interested in transitioning to fixed wing flying. Delta Connection Academy Flight School offers a program that will take into account your previous helicopter flight experience and prepare you to become a professional airline pilot. This program is for you if you hold:

  • US Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft-Helicopter with Instrument Rating
  • Helicopter and Instrument proficient

Jet Bridge Program

Once our instructors have gained the prescribed hours and experience, their training culminates with their attendance in our 'Jet Transition' course. This course is the final transition that needs to occur prior to the flights instructor's departure to fly for an airline. The course prepares them mentally, psychologically and most importantly sends them to the airline of their choice having flown that company's procedures prior to arrival for their interview. This course includes classroom and flight training in our advanced Regional Jet Flight Training Device.

The 2-week course includes 55 hours of academics including utilization of the Aerosim Virtual Flight Deck software and 26 hours in a Regional Jet Bridge Training Device developed by Frasca. All of the instructors are current line qualified pilots flying Regional Jets for a Delta Connection Carrier.
